You should give it another shot. Overall, it's easier than the first. You just have to save and reload a few times to make sure you get the right einherjar. It was wonderful game, but right now my PS2 is totally broken and I only have PS4, so it's probably not going to happen in nearby future. I am done. It is one of the best.), Danganronpa (It has a very nice soundtrack I recently heard), Ni no Kuni Wrath of the White Witch (why does NO ONE ever mention this game?) and like... a bajillion more...
