Why do you get your hair cut a certain way or wear a certain type of clothes? Why do people get tattoos or piercings? Why do people dye their hair? Because they want to...they like the way certain looks make them feel.

I get your point, but this can be something static and dangerous. We know that she was addicted to fillers when she was in a dark place of her life, so I wonder if she is right now.

It's temporary. I know tons of people that get these types of procedures done. None of them are sad, depressed or hating life. It's available, and they do it because it makes them feel better.

The song was mainly aimed at gay, trans and/or outcasted kids, the types who need to undergo significant transformations to be comfortable in their skin and to realize their true identities. So the title is sort of tongue and cheek, a more accurate titling would be (Re)Born This Way. Gaga's always been that type of person, her getting all this work done on her face now - despite it making her look worse for the most part - isn't too different from the way she completely changed her appearance with wigs, huge eyelashes, and eccentric outfits before she was even famous.

I was hoping she'd be leaving her face alone after the fillers had settled. She was looking like 2010ga again. Sigh. I know she can do whatever she wants, but it's a little sad that she feels the need to do anything at all.

I believe Lisa is generally pretty nice but she's definitely the type to tell a friend what they "need" to do to look good. Reminds me of when Gwyneth Partlow told Courtney Love, "You need to lose weight. Do what you have to. Even if that means spending time with your toilet." Lisa gives me the same vibes, although she's probably more polite.

Loving yourself doesn't mean you can't change your body to fit what YOU like. Your body doesn't represent who you are. Trans girls are not born with breast, so are boob jobs against the BTW message? Of course not, because if having a pair of boobs is going to make you happy then it's completely fine. Only she knows why she is doing this, we shouldn't assume why she does this.

You are judging her judgment, just accept it, it's not like if it was a sin.

It's honestly sad to see so many people shame people who get work done and be so misinformed about it.

I don't think she needs fillers or any plastic surgery but I will never judge someone because they have work done on their bodies.

One thing is to say that you fear for someone and another is saying they look like a fake mess. It's just as disgusting and vile as insulting people who become overweight. Yes, they brought it to themselves but they are still human beings with feelings.

Being "natural" doesn't make you better than anyone else. You can't fight beauty standards while supporting a different one.

I do prefer how she looks without fillers but it's non of my business and saying mean things about how she looks with them is not very nice, it's actually pretty rude.
