Gaga prefers 2014-2016 over previous years

While it's true that the past few years have been amazing for Gaga, you can't just say that she "prefers 2014-2016 over previous years", she's done some amazing things in the past, and though she's grown and matured, that doesn't mean that she has to dislike the things she did before. 

To your point about her singing jazz so much, and her not performing her older songs, well, that may just be a personal thing or something that she's doing in a certain event. I mean, it's not like she's doing to perform Do What U Want at a highly sophisticated award ceremony.

But besides that, Gaga's always been more of a pop-rock sort of gal. While jazz was indeed a huge influence in her life, pop and rock are where she stands. That's where she feels the most comfortable.
