ReidOne 12,427 Posted April 2, 2016 Share Posted April 2, 2016 I had no idea that the Empire of the Sun remix of "Applause" was nothing more than a mash-up of one of their album tracks! Was listening to 'Ice on the Dune' in full for the first time earlier this week and was shocked when I recognized this tune. This isn't hate --- the mashup works brilliantly! Just shocked that this isn't an original for Gaga. Plus, you've got to love the irony that the original track is named "Old Flavours" lol... Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

I couldn't believe it! I wasn't expecting much, but they brought the music to life like I had never seen. Totally see why Gaga commissioned them to work on this remix. I always thought they were only "good" because of the EDM remixes of their tunes (Zedd, Kaskade, Calvin Harris, etc...)... but come to find out, as much as I love the mixes, their original versions are the best!
