At this moment people don't consider her as one.

But comparing her views and streams to current songs is pointless.

Her last major pop single was in 2013 when streaming wasn't as huge as now and neither youtube.  (240m views and 100+m plays on Spotify is something more than decent for Applause)

If she releases a good lead single I'm sure thatt she'll get bigger numbers too.

You cannot compare streams of songs years old to NEW songs that are released during the peak of streaming. We have to see how her new songs do on streaming to be able to make any judgment.

But what about comparing applause to roar? :derpga:

people feel insecure between eras but then when her single gets like 1b views later this year everyone will say they knew it was coming to slay :air: no shade just sayin'

Same thing happened to Beyoncé.

She is one of the top! She is an icon and one of the most talented out there, her views would be way higher if all those videos were released in today's viewing ways, people watch YouTube a lot more and stream more, plus Gaga is an artists who sells singles and albums rather than streams, just to point out NO by Meghan trainor hasn't even got in the top 20 on the iTunes chart in the uk

Better comparison would probably be #Infinity

She was, and always will be for me, a woman who has changed pop music and redefined the standards of music in general, and for that she is the reigning queen of heaven and earth.

What is this obsession with wanting Gaga to be lumped with a bunch of talentless hacks... Gaga is not a main pop girl? Good riddance.

REALITY

As of now, no. I think Gaga's in her own separate category. It's like you have the 'pop girls' and then you have 'Gaga'. She's definitely matured over the years, both with her music and her personal life.

But not only that, she's now a jazz singer and actress. She's really a jack-of-all-trades, and masters a lot of them. Of course, she'll first and first-most be a singer/songwriter because that's what she does best. That being said, with how fast music comes and goes these days, she'll surely take her crown back with LG5.

Right like in 2009, Beyoncé was a main pop girl but she has created her own lane over the years. I see Gaga heading in a similar direction.

It's science, bitch
