Yes, that's how you make an Era successful. And they say Anti is a Flop smh

It is, though. Her album sales says a lot.

Well I guess that could work, for two radio formats... Lets see how the radio responds..

But it is Rihanna after all, I'm sure she'll get the radio support.

No, honey If I Were A Boy, Halo, Sweet Dreams were meant for the pop stations where they dominated. Single Ladies, Diva, and Ego were meant for the urban stations were they dominated. Single Ladies just happened to be an urban single that took off on platforms. Rihanna is probably doing the same for both of these singles.

OMG , why is that always some GGD member comes to argue on nothing

all I said is that those six singles were all in a pair of Double A-Side , meaning they were dished out to radio in the same month

whether it be Pop radio (Top 40 mainstream) or Urban radio , I DID NOT SPECIFY

I love how you immediately quoted me with No, honey...

when there's nothing to no about

ugh typical GGD

Well they were both dished out to radio on the same day, Dec 17 2013

XO impacting Contemporary radio and Urban radio, while Drunk In Love impacting Urban only

thought I'd specify in case a bitch quotes me :green:

I meant Desperado as in urban single. It would smash on Urban radio.

Oh wow 2 singles at the same time? I think it will create competition between the songs themselves. And in the end one will take off (probably Needed Me cause it's been charting randomly for the past 2 months, which is a pity cause KIB is one of her best songs of all time).

But Slé at ANTI getting a 2nd and a 3rd video (after Work getting not one but two). When we add to these 4 videos the 3 from last year's singles and we have 7 videos for 2 years from her underperforming era. :rip: :air:

It's interesting how no one shames ANTI as flop, yet its sales are like light years behind ARTPOP. And even though it's much less successful it's getting more videos and single releases. I guess it has to do with Gaga setting the bar too high for herself and for her audience very early on, + her perfectionism preventing her from releasing basic videos with poor/no concepts. Rih on the other hand is perfectly capable of doing this and sending her songs to no.1 like a boss. Oh well, this is life. :emma:

Still don't understand how this album is performing so well. :saladga:

It is actually an incredibly basic album wrapped in the image of being experimental. Nothing about it is groundbreaking.

The only people claiming ANTI is experimental or ground-breaking is probably the Navy. I don't think anyone else sees the album that way, but that doesn't take away from the fact it is really good. It's just different for Rihanna. Feels more personal than ever and doesn't really have any obvious radio hits (even Work isn't obvious, it's like Rude Boy). It's very stripped down and feels much more real and authentic. But it doesn't have a genius concept or anything that bonds the songs. It's the classic collection of Rihanna songs but much more left-field.

Cheap thrills

Those two songs are better than work but I still don't want them to peak high sorry Rihanna :koons:

Supersonic

Better songs than Work, but still Anti failed to capture me. I listened through the entire album but I never seemed to go back to any of the songs and even forgot the album was out overall.

Lemme ask you guys a question

Would you rather:

1. Have both singles peak around 15 to 20 on hot 100

OR

2. Needed Me flops hard and Slay it Better reaches no.1

I don't mind 2 at all...
