LeoFameMonster 1,592
He said he cashed out at the right time because she was the biggest star in the world and there was no where else to go but down. He also said he never has to work again with the money she made him. He is a gold DIGGA, and like troy, wants back on the Gaga band wagon because they are realizing that with Gaga and only Gaga there is no such this as a ceiling, she keeps breaking through the roof and getting even bigger than imaginable. It doesnt mean he doenst believe in her now, he just did not want to lose millions and wanted to retire early. It's a gross, parasitic mindset to have though. Plus he didn't even keep it classy enough to be discrete about his washing his hands of her - he kicked her while she was down in a very public way. He claimed he believed in her as an artist, but was really only after profit. If you truly believe in someone you won't do something as low as what he did. He believed in her as an artist to be successful and bring him money.. when someone signs you to a record company, they dont sign you because they love your art, they sign you because they love your art based on what sells and brings money. These people also spend millions on making you successful so its normal to what that money back in return or else they will lose their job, business and career. Im sure your young and dont know how these things work. He also did not kick her as him leaving did not effect Gagas career one bit.

Yes, I'm aware of these sorts of business practices, I'm not some young stars in their eyes Pollyanna. What I'm calling bs on is this "I believe in her" crap. Truly believing in an artist would imply that you don't drop them as soon as you think they're "done." Believing in them suggests that you think they're actually talented enough to overcome whatever hiccups might happen along the way (Sao Schlumberger & Anna Wintour's loyal support of John Galliano come to mind). To drop them actually suggests very little faith. And Gaga would have made money regardless, it's not as if she's some up and comer who is still looking for a big break and unlikely to ever return a profit. What Akon said was completely unnecessary and said at time when the media outlets were piling on Gaga (and all that bad press did affect her image and career, Akon was not helping at all there).
