Huffington Post Predicts Trump Will Win Presidency (By a landslide)

I don't know who reads what, but Huffington Post is generally a liberal leaning journalism output that covers news, media, and culture. 

In an article divulging and crunching the actual breakdown of the states electoral college, they draw two main conclusions:

CONCLUSION 1: If Bernie Sanders can still swipe the nomination, based on primary and caucus votes in swing states and blue states, Bernie Sanders could destroy Trump in the general election. Unfortunately, it seems to be growing increasingly impossible for Bernie to get the nomination. 

CONCLUSION 2: If Hillary Clinton takes the nomination for the democratic party, despite leading in national polls, Donald Trump will effectively take the necessary swing states from her (as voter turnout is high in these states for Bernie and Trump, but not Hillary), and Trump will effectively win in a landslide over Hillary. This simply is due to the fact that even though Hillary is swiping more states than Bernie, she is winning in red states. In a general election, these are states she cannot and likely will not vote for her, leaving a huge gap in her ability to connect with swing states that already turn out more for Trump or Bernie, than her. 

HuffPost compares this election to the 1980 election when Reagan was seen as an outsider (akin to Trump) and won many of the blue collar democrats and independents over by pointing at the establishment, which, in this case, is Hillary. (Trump spookily mirrors Reagan, too. Both former democrats turned republican. Both in TV before becoming President. Both seen as a joke at first .)

I'm honestly seeing how this unfolds and unless the Bernie supporters get out and vote, it's gonna be like butter for Trump to slide in the White House. The way the electoral college is set up, Hillary Clinton's slight edge in the popular vote doesn't matter here because she is failing to take states that are primarily middle class and independent.

Not unless Trump is assassinated which is possible.  Wouldn't surprise me with the drama within the government.  Although, I could see this being a conspiracy.  Just starting the new Agenda sooner than I thought.  There are racist/ignorant people who follow the offbeat of a different drum, but there has to be just as many people who have the common sense and heart of the greater good that can out vote Trump and his supporters.  If it doesn't happen that way, then the conspiracy is more obvious in my eyes than ever before. Call me crazy but think outside the box for a minute. Would it surprise you?...

Not really. They didn't even think he would poll in the Top Ten in July.

Then we he did, they didn't think he would sustain past Bush by the end of the fall. But he did.

Then we he said a few things and the media called it racist from November to January, they thought it would hit him in the early primaries. He still won by landslides. 

Then this spring they thought the gimmick would wear off, it hasn't. Everytime another republican beefs with him, they are out of the race a few weeks later. 

And then, in the Super Tuesdays primaries, he pretty much got everything he needed to secure the nomination at this point. They thought Ted Cruz would finally outweigh him. But Trump still saw bigger turnouts. 

And despite the republican establishment trying to utterly rip him apart, he took Arizona this week by a landslide, doubling numbers, getting more voter turnout than Hillary, and also saw thousands of LATINOS support him.

He's literally unstoppable. And every time the media doubts him, it's just more press for him. Even The liberal chicks on The View who hate him started to warm up to him saying they'd "feel safer with a President Trump" in a case like Brussels. 

I wouldn't doubt him. Because everytime they doubt him or not take him seriously, he proves them wrong. Even I can't figure out how he continues to go up more in the polls at this point....

Imo Hillary would beat Trump fairly easily, Sanders would lose. Sanders is too far left to beat almost anybody. He'd be like Mondale and McGovern.

This article was obviously written with the purpose of making democrats and liberals believe that choosing Hillary over Bernie will automatically give the win to Trump and that Bernie is the only chance. Gladly this analysis is so transparent that it fails to back up its argument.

This person (this is his only article on HuffPost) is a liberal and he isn't really predicting Trump's win, he is only telling people that letting Hillary win over Bernie is the end of the democratic presidency. His analysis is way more biased than factual and his article "Bernie Sanders is more electable than Hillary Clinton" makes it way more obvious.

That's actually incredibly innacurate. The polls since the beginning have said Bernie could beat Trump far easier than Hillary, and it doesn't matter if Hillary has a slight edge in big blue states because she doesn't in moderate states. 

It's the same statistical thing as the 2000 election. Even though Al Gore won the popular vote by nearly a million people, he didn't spread that out enough which allowed Bush to win the Presidency.

Even I, as a Trump supporter, feel that people trust and respect Bernie in a way people never would trust Hillary. That will destroy her in the long haul. And you know they've already used all their ammo of stuff Trump has done bad and it hasn't killed him. No one has full on brought up Hillary's skeletons, and in a day and age of social media, all this Trump stuff will seem like old news and Hillary's dirty laundry will be sorely brought up by Trump. 

It's a losing election for Hillary.

Voters already know pretty much everything about Hillary, they dont know much about Sanders, Thats why the polls right now don't mean much. Once Sanders was attacked by the Republican smear machine in the GE his poll numbers would drop like a rock.

This person (this is his only article on HuffPost) is a liberal and he isn't really predicting Trump's win, he is only telling people that letting Hillary win over Bernie is the end of the democratic presidency. His analysis is way more biased than factual and his article "Bernie Sanders is more electable than Hillary Clinton" makes it way more obvious.

But he backs it up with facts!

The fact is true: Most of the states Hillary has won amongst democrats are RED states....states she cannot carry in a general election.

And it is true, of the swing states Trump and Bernie have fared better. 

Of course blue California will go blue.

Of course red Texas will go red. 

But will purple Nevada or purple Florida go for Hillary over Trump. The numbers say no. More republicans are showing out to vote in those states.
