2014 aggression on Gaza started by Israel. An excuse was 3 kidnapped teenagers, which followed the revenge of burning teen Abu Khdeir alive and making up stories how he was killed by Palestinians because he was gay; the "period of calm" never existed, since daily Palestinian victims are rarely in the news. It was then when Hamas responded by rockets. And the hasbara started "we are daily showered with rockets, what would you do, tunnels, khamaas!"

You are comparing groups with homemade rockets, which mostly end up in empty field with a country with full army, air force and navy, bombing civilians with their F-16s. 

66 people died on Israeli side, 6 civilians.

Over 2300 died on Palestinian side, majority civilians. Over 500 children. Do you remember bombing kids on the beach? Not to mention bombing of the only power plant and whole infrustructure.

Any other country doesn't occupy another nation, keeps them under military law and steals their land without consequences. If any other country did that, they would be long time ago sanctioned or even bombed.

At least military aid would be cut, but no, Israel gets away with anything and AIPAC is asking another 50 billion dollars.

Yeah they were dead, but Israeli government pretended there is still hope and was just milking the whole situation to get more people to support the war. And your solution to that is not to find the people who did it, but instead a full blown war and collective punishment, right? Not very different from what you claim about Hamas.

Yes it is a genocide, every 3 years couple of thousands are slaughtered and you just blame them for their own death. Not to mention thousands of injured and sick from cancer and all kinds of diseases, but they're can't be treated abroad cause their borders are sealed.

idk if you're looking at it from a human rights perspective, israel is doing some terrible things. i've heard that the gaza strip can be compared to what might be a modern day concentration camp. at the same time, the palestinians who i believe want to establish an independent state in the west bank is plagued by continued israeli settlements that prevent this and israel in fact feeds the proliferating acrimony of the palestinian people and an anti-jewish sentiment by evicting people from their homes, limiting where they can go in the west bank, etc. 

on the other hand, when i think about it, israel might be concerned with "terrorists" who i guess govern the people in the gaza strip, and they work to contain them at the expense of the normal, everyday people. the same dynamic might be at play in the west bank? in other words, israel might be afraid of a coalescence of what might turn out to be a great enemy at its borders, so they seek to divide and conquer. there is an entire history involved in this area and age-old hostilities held by the palestinian people so one can never tell whether this unrest will spill over into israel once the means to do so is there.

ultimately, i think the normal people here, the everyday non-government, non-violent people who seek to live in peace and with some sort of comfort in gaza and the west bank are the real victims of those in power on both sides. this is a difficult situation to solve and considering the current circumstances idk if it is solvable. but the current dynamic seems to me to be unstable and will eventually lead to some kind of bigger conflict or even war.

That post would be great but you this correlation to Nazi Germany where 6 million of Jews died is not cool. There is no other country, despite what they do, that gets compared to Nazi Germany than Israel

On 12 June, three Jewish Israeli youths, Naftali Frenkel, Gilad Shaar and Eyal Yifrach, went missing while hitchhiking from Kfar Etzion, an illegal settlement in the occupied West Bank. At 10:25pm, Shaar placed a panicked call to Israeli police.

During the eerie call lasting two minutes and nine seconds, the supposed kidnappers can be heard ordering the youths to keep their heads down. Israel Radio plays in the background as Shaar repeatedly appeals for help. Then several gunshots can be heard followed by celebratory singing as the kidnappers remark, “We got three.” The teens had been killed.

To legitimize the military’s wider goals, they withheld this information as well.

On 17 June, Arabic-language news siteRai Al Youm reported that Israeli police and Shin Bet agents had raided the homes of Marwan Qawasmeh and Amer Abu Eishe, the main suspects, near the southern West Bank city of Hebron. As a Palestinian news outlet based in London, Rai Al Youm was not subject to the Israeli military’s gag order and was therefore free to publish the names of the two accused kidnappers.

o well i didn't mean to do that. i should have written internment camps, maybe? idk. i think of concentration camps as being on a spectrum, germany being the worst. i think the japanese were put into concentration camps during WWII but the conditions weren't nearly as bad.
