If its mainstream sounding cool sounding and easy to listen to it has the potential to get to number 1 quite easily. I think Gaga knows what she is doing she is in a good place in her life right now so I think it will be good quality music for lg5 my prediction is that it will peak at 2 in US and 4 in the UK.

we all know talent and quality is not doing everything, sadly...

Katy Perry's name has become bigger than Lady Gaga, and she's literally loved by everyone in the GP... Gaga will have to show she world she can slay again with pop music... I think it would be better for her to release before Katy Perry is back, at least to avoid comparisons...

Ok Katy Perry is more radio friendly than gaga overall because she has more songs played on the radio than gaga but gagas 2009 and 2010 era was ultimate pop. Lady Gaga is way more famous than Katy perry my nan knows who lady gaga is because she always sings ra ra gaga ooh la la from hearing bad romance on the radio every so often its her favourite song but she has no idea who Katy Perry is her brand isn't memorable lady Gaga's impact is so much stronger than katy's Katy is very famous in pop music but lady gaga is very very famous with everyone who is not concerned with radio and pop culture she is by far the biggest household name. Just dance poker face and bad romance are way more mainstream than anything Katy Perry has done. But if gaga does another applause which is diverse electro sounding for example then that wont beat Katy's bland generic pop hits but if gaga goes back to her true pop ways then she is pretty much unstoppable

Of course it will. She knows what she's doing. She didn't give a damn about the commerical quality of ARTPOP, or even BTW. It just doesn't matter to her, and why should it? Katy Perry is childish bubblegum pop for nine to twelve year old's. The most un-radio friendly thing she's done is released 'I Kissed a Girl'. It was an awful simplistic song with no substance or truth. Even Gaga said in the early days "I don't think she's kissed a girl." GAGA HAS MADE OUT WITH EVERY GENDER AND RACE IN HER MUSIC VIDEOS. 

Rock, Jazz and Pop legends have said that Gaga has changed music forever. And it's true. She has contibuted to pop culture in a way that has trancended all cultures and touched the hearts of many.

Katy Perry is obsessed with being commerical. She has copied Gaga in so many ways, as has Niki Minaj and virtually every other female recording artist. Big theatre productions and wearing latex on TV was so not a thing before Gaga arrived on the scene. And now look at pop culture, virtually everyone is doing it.

The only good thing I can say about Katy Perry is that she doesn't twerk, but I wouldn't hold my breath. Gaga was only compared to her because the media loves FEMALE VS FEMALE rivarly. You don't see it much with guys. The industry and media is completely sexist and rarely recognises true talent. Gaga had two songs about weed on her last album; commerical? Not really, but at least it had TRUTH - something Katy Perry's music and lyrics lacks immensely. And if you're going to sit there and tell me that music doesn't need soul or truth, you shouldn't even be listening to it.
