brendablethyn 536
I would love for her to push the boundaries and explore more of the work she did with Marina. Both her music videos and live performances. Is it important to her and I think she is being true to herself when she does it, as opposed to being like the other pop girls and having predictable/generic performances. It helps her stand out. She never had generic performances and she always stands out. ‘If religion be the cause of disunity, then irreligion is surely to be preferred.’ ‘Abdu’l-Bahá
adamsenigma 9,520
Those performances were messy. No thank u.
The Surrealist 27,470
We haven't seen her dance for 2 years and somehow it made me think if she will ever dance again. I hope for a lot of performance art ie. her infamous Swine performance. Many here think it was a mess, but that's what it is supposed to be. Anyhow, she probably is going to perform a lot of her songs on the piano instead of dancing.
TEANUS 15,634
I need dancing, that is all British social ladies with upturned pinkies, glasses clinking // xoxoTEANUS
hELXIG 43,410
I love when she gets creative and breaks all shackles to societal norms. It's so brave and empowering. Someone just doing exactly what they want to do regardless of how others will view them or treat them. I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin. And even if she can, she probably won't, because that's what led to her downfall before. She takes it carefully these days. I was actually watching her performance of Judas on SNL earlier and was blown away by the level of energy she had and how she nailed that tough choreo! But it's okay. I want her to be healthy and not break her already weakened hip again! She can still dance! Even if not quite as fast! I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin. Lord Temptation 11,209
The live performances she did for ARTPOP in 2013 (ArtRave, SXSW, Marina x Gaga etc) were very esoteric, emotional and confrontational. I adore them of course, but many did not appreciate the sensations and thought processes she was trying to convey. On the other hand, the live performances she did in 2015 and for the first two months of this year have been absolutely phenomenal but more ClassicGa than Gaga. I want a return to the kind of live performances she did during the Fame / Monster (08-10) era, like this stunning version of Dance in the dark she did at the Brit Awards in 2010. Or her legendary debut at Glastonbury in 2009

Iwontell 7,312
I'm of the opinion that if she goes there and plays her stuff live and sings the hell out of it, it already puts her in an entirely different lane from the other girls (who are basically doing choreography - which I find so cheesy, by the way - and singing poorly, if not lip-synching, songs they didn't even write - most girls do that, anyway)...on top of that, Gaga does it with heart, she's really moving when she's focusing on the song and just bringing it to life. She doesn't need to resort to the most unorthodox performances in order to stand out, that's what I'm saying... I like it when she goes out of the box, though, but only if there's meaning and context to it...for example, 2009 VMA's Paparazzi performance, 2011 VMA's You and I performance, 2014 SXSW's Swine performance, the meat dress, quick-changing in front of the audience for some of her concerts...to me those things truly made sense and worked in their own way, even if some of them are more appreciated by her fans than others...meanwhile the "culture show" (I guess that's the name of the show) interview was a misfire - I understand what she was doing and I like the initiative, but she picked the wrong venue to do that and I could say the same about her wandering through Berlin doing Marina's method too... If she goes for these unorthodox approaches I wish she's wise enough to pick the right place, the right moment, the right crowd and that she knows not to make it too long as to spoil it... ATTENTION: (bad) jokes and sarcasm are still a thing, so don't take everything I say literally. Thank you.
