I kind of feel bad for Sam Smith in this whole mess. Like, it's not his fault he won.

Obviously art is subjective, but this was one of those rare times when the nominees are presented and there is only one clear, rightful option.

It's a shame the majority of voters chose a soapy, bland song over one that is not just melodically and lyrically superior, but actually has the power to change perspectives. 

Diane's right though, this does not diminish their work at all, Gaga's performance owned the evening, and it all ended up working to their advantage.

I feel so bad for both Gaga and Diane.  Let's move on, though, guys.  There's nothing we can do about it now and hating on Sam because he won is silly, if you ask me.  It wasn't his fault they picked him over Diane and Gaga so let's stop bashing him.
