Slayer 9,227 Posted March 22, 2016 Share Posted March 22, 2016 Knowing how depresssed Gaga was around this time, I can't help but feel really sad when watching the first half of the ARTPOP film, especially the ARTPOP section where she pulls out the arrow and hobbles to the castle. She was really hurting during that time. Also... this video, in my opinion, will probably be the last we will see of Gaga in this incarnation. That makes me sad, too. I'm really excited for the new era and everything, but I don't think she will retread the path of big-budget, outlandish, avant garde videos anymore. (At least not for the next album.) I have made film studies and I think she doesn't have it as a director. She's flawless in performing, singing, dancing, writing songs but NOT into directing. I think she has to do it by herself as she had no support for it at Interscope...
