I'm sorry to disappoint Christina Aguilera fans, but the wait for Christina's next album will be even longer than most of you probably thought. While some might have assumed (myself included) that Christina would be dropping her lead single soon, it appears she's only recorded a few songs for the album and isn't even focused on it. 

Christina's producer, Premier, from the Back to Basics era explains to The National that:

“We spoke to each other and we do want to get together again. Because of her commitments with The Voice she only recorded a couple of songs and she is not in album mode right now. But when she is then I’m ready."

 

It's unfortunate because its already been almost 3 1/2 years since Lotus. oh well

I usually dont complain when Christina takes her time specially that ive been a fan since stripped so im used to this but it seems like she cares more about the voice and doing side things that brings her more money and leave music for later. Also 4 or more years is way too long for a time between albums!

That's really sad, cos I miss her music

I feel like she should record an album with mostly power ballads because that's just what she does best (e.g. Beautiful, Hurt, I Turn To You & Say Something), with a few bops on the album.

I think she could do fairly well this era if she does it like that tbh

that's what i wanna know. Labels force artists to redo their albums sometimes when the label hears the album and doesn't like it. So maybe that happened. That's what Gwen said happened to her in 2014
