Aside from people like the OP, people who are fascinated by peculiar violent crimes, the window lickers who gawk at passing car wrecks, who does it benefit to have stories like this told in the press? Did they have to wait until the kid had more serious burns in order to charge her this? I say anyone who admits to "putting a child in the oven" means she wants to kill the kid. You can't say you put a kid in the oven to teach him a lesson. She already caused the kid trauma and harm that will affect him for the rest of his life. If you were abused as a child, it is a number one factor that predisposes you to some kind of mental illness or higher chance of committing a crime when you grow up.
