Hyperballad 4,305
I recall something that Gaga had to change the album because of interscope.i think it's true cause if you see Gaga performed Princess Die and said it was for ARTPOP and she also said Elton would be in it so it might be true cause how does that fit in with ARTPOP?Can someone explain the ARTPOP drama story? andy232000 11,361
just let the ARTPOP drama go. what we got has enough perfect sense and it was for the better that princess die was not there. it would not fit and its too depressing for the album
Bradley 59,023
Not every song she wrote has to be on an album. She writes tons of songs and choose the ones which are most suitable for a particular album. Why is it a big deal that Princess Die wasn't on ARTPOP? She literally confirmed that she wrote Princess Die way before she performed it live on tour, right before. Do yourself a favor and search ARTPOP threads. No I mean people were saying Gaga changed the theme!but her label didn't like it so she had to keep re-working an album a lot of people say Gaga had to re make the whole album cause her label didn't like it,her label wanted radio-friendly songs but Gaga didn't want to cause they wouldn't let her do what she wanted to do so out of anger Gaga leaked Aura and re-wrote Dope so they wouldn't play it on the radio

It's a general though that the ARTPOP album that was planned for release in early 2013 was almost entirely different than what we got  She was also writing, adding, and removing tracks up until the last minute so it was crazy throw in the iTunes Festival versions of songs and management drama that resulted in poor promo and meh single choices (justice for Venus) and you have the ARTPOP drama. Also, Dope was made because they wanted a more personal and relateable track than IWBWY...she laid it on thick with Dope that's a change I personally approve of, tbh. Idk about the Aura leak, I wasn't a frothing-at-the-mouth fan then but if they can make her choose Alejandro over Dance in the Dark, I don't see it being far fetched that she rebelled and leaked Aura 'cause they wanted Applause or something else that we may not have heard. 🌸Flourishing and vibrant🌼

I'm pretty sure it was Gaga who wanted Alejandro to be released over DITD 08, 09, 11, 13, 16,

The label injects money into her projects and from a business perspective, of course it would be advisable for the label to advise Gaga into making songs that are profitable (without sacrificing artistic integrity as much as possible). So it's not totally wrong for Interscope to do that.
