Also, when you read the article you read that it's actually "Israel Hayom" which again, is not the largest newspaper, not at all.. it's a free newspaper that you can get at the train.. so all I'm asking is to be ethic and write the real news.

Yom Kippur showed that you shouldn't **** with Israel. Most war did. Unless they are extremely stupid they have no logical reason to attack. Just check most of the neighbours around Israel a lot are in a mess, why would a war with Israel do them any good?

Yom Kipput considered as a lose in Israel.. they are really ashamed of how they handled it.. (surprise, lack of intelligent, many dead soldiers, lack of plan etc)..

Well, Hezbollah could attack at some point but I wonder if Israel will get support from the Arab League after they declared Hezbollah as a terror organization few days ago..

Well this is an independent Israeli newspaper which has its own biases. Also readership is irrelevant, since the readers aren't involved in writing the pieces. So it's a little delusional to try to generalize this opinion as to be the opinion of a large number of Israelis. No need to entangle Israel as a whole because of one single writer.

Then again, some people here could stand to not blindly defend any Israeli-affiliated entity either. While it's pretty sad that many Israeli's hypocritically support apartheid procedures that Trump wants to enforce in the USA, it's my (naive) hope that one day it'll stop. So there's no need to support anything that continues that tradition.

Well newspapers post stuff their readers want to read.There hasn't been any backlash for that paper so far, so that viewpoint is not objected by its readers. Most republicans in the US support Trump which is at least 40% of voters. It's not very unlikely that 40% of Israelis would support Trump aswell.

While Sheldon Adelson has yet to endorse a candidate for president, andrefused to let reporters peek at his ballot at last month’s caucus in Nevada, it’s starting to look like the conservative rebellion against Donald Trump will not be bankrolled by the casino operator and Republican donorknown for his far-right views.

Three times this week, the front page of the Israeli tabloid Adelson set up to support Benjamin Netanyahu’s Likud party, Israel Hayom (Israel Today), has featured fawning coverage of Trump. The newspaper is widely seen in Israel as a megaphone for Adelson’s own views.

On Friday, the Hebrew-language print edition featured an interview with Trump — translated into English online — in which he assured Israelis that, far from being “neutral” on the Middle East, his election would be “tremendous news for Israel.”

His message to Israelis, Trump told the paper’s foreign editor, Boaz Bismuth, was this: “Your friend is leading in the primaries. I’ve always been your friend, even at the toughest moments. And that’s not going to change. I love you.”

Bismuth got little else from Trump, except the assurance that his election would also be “less good news for those who don’t like Israel,” but the rest of his report, a star-struck ode to ostentatious wealth, reads like it could have been written by Trump’s publicist, or his doctor.

After Trump’s primary victories earlier this week, the newspaper told its readers on Thursday that he was “Nearly There.”

On Tuesday, under the banner headline “Trump Not Afraid to Say ‘Islamic Terrorism,’” the candidate’s praises were sung by his old friendRudy Giuliani, the former New York mayor whose own failed bid for the presidency in 2008 was bankrolled by Adelson.

Unfortunately on GGD everything is black and white so an Israeli that doesn't do the military wow. My uncle also did prison for that. It's quite hard in Israel I heard if you don't join the army for after, career wise.

It was true 10 years ago but now it's really depends on the city or the company.. in Tel-Aviv nobody would care but in a city like Ashdod, people will see you as someone problematic or a traitor.. also, international companies don't care about the military.. I worked as a salesperson for Haaretz Newspaper so for them I was consider a hero lol and then I worked at Apple Store and they didn't consider the military since the beginning of the interviews process..

Ok well that's good for you. I understand the military is important in israel but to make it mandatory and then stigmatize people who don't serve that's too much. It's good it doesn't affect your career I am glad to hear that
