A lot of the hardcore Bowie stans didn't like Gaga to begin with -- they thought she was shallow, trying too hard, ripping off his style, using his death for her own personal gain, etc. etc. -- so there was absolutely no way she was going to please them. Was it Gaga's best performance? No, I don't think so. Could it have been better? Sure. But I think she did an amazing job regardless and a lot of people thought so too. The white pantsuit was too reminiscent of Elvis and it made her look like she was trying too hard and ultimately she looked like a caricature of Bowie The performance should have been less hyped on Intel's part. Lastly, there were just too many songs. Three would have been just right. I still enjoyed the performance, but can't help but feel it could have been more iconic.
