LadOfAbyss 597
I think it's important to spread kindness whether online or outside doesn't matter. But I think it's important to stand up for your belief especially when dealing with racism, discrimination, etc (like you mentioned). You have to stand for what is right while also sticking to your core values. Also we gain very little by posting negativity, it really doesn't do much for anyone at the end of the day to be honest. I am as vain as I allow
MrBlue 804
Idk. I do think it's better to promote online kindness! I don't think it's just to act positively but to not hurt other's feelings. (I don't really think it's applying to rapists, thieves... but I see it like not insulting people or their art etc)

RAMROD 110,387
I never follow that or THINK campaign cos simply I think that is silly and very naiive of her. Nobody ever really purely kind or purely bad. There are always reasons, and motives why people being that way. StrawberryBlond 14,933
I think promoting online kindness relates to people you are actually speaking to. People who know you're addressing them and can reply. So, be nice to people on forums, social media, life in general. Because when we go about our day to day lives, we're not asking to be judged, so we should be nice wherever possible. But when it comes to celebrities, it's a different matter, at least as far as I'm concerned. They put themselves out there to be judged. They put out music, movies and various projects for us, the public, to judge. If we dislike them, we have the right to be forthright with that opinion, otherwise, they'll never do their job of entertaining the public if we don't like the material they're giving us. And if we don't like a celebrity, we have the right to state that too as again, the role of a celebrity is to entertain and be likeable. If we deem them untalented or not entertaining or unlikeable, they shouldn't have the right to go on being famous. It's harsh, but it's how the business works - the public decide who gets to be famous and successful. Don't like how cutthroat it is? Don't become a celebrity. Promoting online kindness it one thing. Being a mindless sheep who's afraid to voice their opinion is another.
Higher 2,406
Promote online negativity. Finally feeling free for the night, I got no worries. Finally got a claim on my life, baby, c'est la vie. ☄️
Frankenztein 1,172
Of course we can't always be kind, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't try our best when we can.
Benji 20,113
Instead of POK, just do DBAA instead. Don't Be An Asshole. You don't need to be "kind" to everyone. Who has the patience to be kind to trolls or that douche on a forum who keeps quoting you to argue? Just don't be an asshole to everyone else and it's all good. ryhanna 3,507
You don't need to pretend you're a saint whenever you're online. Just don't be an ass. "Online kindness," is frankly just unrealistic and a little silly. You don't have to be kind. Just being a decent person is enough.
