Today I was reading an article on Rolling Stone about the acts at SXSW they're most excited to see when I noticed a band named PWR BTTM - how could I not, I am one after all. I read the little blurb they wrote about their backstory and their debut studio album Ugly Cherries and decided to check them out and boy, am I excited and impressed. I'll leave a little background along with my favorite songs I've heard thus far below, but I just want to say that as a gay man and de facto a member of the LGBTQ+ community it makes me so proud to see LGBTQ+ musicians of sonic quality like PWR BTTM and Perfume Genius (check him out through the link if you haven't already - he's amazing!) being recognized by mainstream music publications. With that being said - enjoy their music! (This is a punk rock band - if you're not a big fan of rock I would reccomend listening to Perfume Genius instead!)
