hELXIG 43,065
Was created by you all TBH. I was just thinking about it and realised that all this hype that everyone is angry about, was really created by the fanbase. In fact, Gaga has been very quiet about her new album. She probably learned from the last few cycles the detrimental effect the word "soon" can have. (literally conditioning thousands of us to all hate that word and not trust it) It was actually you guys who read too far into every tweet and started saying "IT'S COMING SOON" and hyped each other up. It was fans who decided her instagram posts meant it was coming soon. It was people here who decided that her normal conversations were cryptic hints and Sooby-Doo clue trails for us to decipher. It was fans who decided they were music industry experts and made their own figures for how soon the album/single would be dropping (regarding who else is putting out music, how her old eras went, how other musicians are doing things, how music business marketting apparently works, and so many more factors that none of you are experts on...), It was you guys who found paparazzi pics, and random tweets, which linked her to producers, and who then decided that means the album is done. She never actually said anything at all. You guys all jumped on board the I-want-to-believe train for a one way trip to ignorance-ville. All she's done is tweet normal **** with emojis and uploaded pics of her at the piano, probably to just prove to everyone that she actually IS writing music. She's never breathed a word about dates, time periods, how far along the album is, or confirmed anything! You all made this ish up, spread it around, convinced each other that is was HER who confirmed it, and then blew up when it wasn't all true. And yet everyone here decides to get angry at her and take it out on her? For shame. "Confirmation bias, also called confirmatory bias or myside bias, is the tendency to search for, interpret, favor, and recall information in a way that confirms one's beliefs or hypotheses, while giving disproportionately less consideration to alternative possibilities." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Confirmation_bias Sorry to be so blunt guys but get a grip. Just don't make waiting for this album your whole life. Maybe go outside sometimes, go on a trail walk, drink a hot chocolate, pat a dog... I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin. SissyFromSpace 20,884
This happens every year. You'll get used to it. As for myself, I ignore it all and watch everyone in disappointment when their weird cryptic hype messages didn't follow as plan. Like don't get me wrong, it's interesting to think about and muse on for a while. But it's not 100% accurate confirmation, omg get your hopes up now this is totally true, kind of sht. Even if they were clues, and were true at some point, how can people not have learned by now that Gaga changes her mind about things? The label can say no and plans get changed, some pieces of projects get delayed, etc. I literally have NO sympathy for anyone who is disappointed because it's their own fault for being daft enough to believe it so strongly in the first place. I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.
STDMNC 368
Well, we haven't had a proper pop album/era since 2011, so I don't blame the ones who are drooling for new pop music. The last pop era, she announced the album (and revealed way too much) over a year before its release, sometimes it's not the kids' fault why they're spoiled. All the fear and paranoia that exists when you lose your mind? It's in your head. Gaga does not owe you a thing. Not a damn thing. Be happy with what you've got. Otherwise run along now. Away from GGD. You have zilch to add to the discussion apart from your own delusions and insecurity.
NewYorkCity 10,536
I was going to come for you after reading the title like: what hype? The one fans and no one else created? Lol Agree with everything. I said it and I will say it again: it is great to be excited for new music. We all are excited and waiting for it! But people here make it look like they need it to live. Like, get a life and find something else to entretain yourself. There is million of things out there. One thing is to say: wow I am so excited! Or speculate about the new music. Other thing is to say: this bith I am so tired of her seriously she is a mess I can't stand her anymore. Like gurl, if you were a fan of other people you would have killed yourself already. People have waited +5 years with having NOTHING. Katy Perry fabs are waiting since the same month as us (nov 2013) and they have nothing. Gaga has worked her ass off these 2 years. A jazz album, a tour, performances, magazines, a tv show, awards, new songs... at least she was giving us things. Stfu and grow up. StarstruckIllusion 52,787
omg I see you everywhere shading the hyped... Literally let people be hype in peace then, its pretty easy to avoid hype threads you know. I love getting hyped, and I don't know about the other hoes, but I know not to get disappointed when none of these rumors turn out to be true. Its for the fun of it. EDIT: Also some tea: Most of the hypers are the younger fans, I don't know what life you want them to have @NewYorkCity other than doing stupid **** online to become famous, but you can drag if you find an adult acting the most. But i know its these younger stans who are excited for the music.
ARTPOPNick 3,486
Last week was the first time I got a little bit hyped since July 2013... And I knew it was nothing but I just couldn't resist anymore lol... But for now, I know again that we just have to wait and I"m back in my "not interested"-mode

I know of people who've waiter 10, fricken, years between albums. What about all those one album wonders that disappear as fast as they appear? And the countless pop-stars who fade away when they get a little bit old, and what about everyone who joined the 27 club?... I'm sure they all had fans too. And It's not like she actually took a 3 year hiatus like some musicians and has just reappeared into existence. She's been around the whole time, and as you said, she even recorded and put out an album and toured! You get it! 25 minutes ago, ROARyals said: omg I see you everywhere shading the hyped... CallMe 577
They're all crying right now, half of them saying "i'm about to leave this fan base.. how can i stan someone who is lying to us... i'm not even excited anymore.. et cetera, et cetera" but they'll all be excited as heck once the single is out, they'll all be dancing their gay ass to it, don't worry, it's always like that, you get used to it
monketsharona 81,644
I think there's no hype to have right now... Honestly I think I'm out from the hype train until something is released (or announced officially). For the moment there's absolutely nothing to get excited.. ModernEcstasy 9,038
Though I agree with some of your post, I also disagree with other points you have made. You can not deny that those silent videos and the "Tik Tik Tik Tick Boom" we're not winding us up. She knew what she was doing. She could of not replied to that comment. But she chose to do so. Diamond Heart 4,400
Little Managers are the absolute worst part of this fanbase, they are also the Little Hypers too. She has promo spots for her oscar campaign (for a song totally unrelated to LG5) 'omg shes doing all this promo, new album soon obvz xxx' 'Wait shes not releasing her album soon?' (which there was was no indication in the slightest) 'How DARE SHE WASTE THIS PROMO, im unhyped and Gaga is an idiot blah blah blah' Same old fickle fanbase. I font think its too crazy to take those educated guesses with some substance, but then again, no one should be too pressed if they dont come true.
