Mark Rylance won an Oscar, but the “Bridge of Spies” actor lost some fans this week with his boycott of Israel.

Rylance is one of 1,100 British artists, musicians, actors, etc., who signed the Artists for Palestine UK’s “artists’ pledge.”

It says:

“We support the Palestinian struggle for freedom, justice and equality. In response to the call from Palestinian artists and cultural workers for a cultural boycott of Israel, we pledge to accept neither professional invitations to Israel, nor funding, from any institutions linked to its government until it complies with international law and universal principles of human rights.”

“He is a ball-less lowlife and you can quote me,” legendary publicist Bobby Zarem told me. “If the academy voters had known Rylance had denounced Israel, there is no way he could have won the Oscar.”

Zarem said, “[Steven] Spielberg — who is a major, major supporter of Israel — made that piece of s - - t a star. He should never get another movie.”

Rylance is starring off-Broadway at St. Ann’s Warehouse in “Nice Fish,” which opened in February.

Interesting comments tho, he wouldn't have won an Oscar if they knew? :duck:How can that be, I thought Israel doesn't control Hollywood? Or does it? lmao
