I mean... She's so global.

tihty debuted 95 on the Hot 100.

US monters didn't buy the song since it's out (September) (even If we know the song since last year I know, even If the song leaked before the official release I know)

when the live performance from the Oscars was uploaded on VEVO and was US-only the views were really tragic. Kinda Afraid.

95 on the hot 100??? This means streaming was very poor since the sales were "poor" too.

Of course no radio.

the most important thing about TIHTY is the message. we need to spread this. It's serious.

but I'm kinda "O_O" I'm sorry

where are her fans?

Yes, but they probably care a lot more about LG5 than the rest... TIHTY is old for fans just saying...

Bloody

It's been out since january 2015 in low quality and it's about rape. It's not a song everyone would bop to every day and it's not meant to top the charts. It's nice that it entered the hot 100 and we should care for the message of it, not the chart success mostly.

We'll see where are her fans with the lead single.

And yes she has many US fans.

Skyfall didn't chart that well either or get radio play. Songs between era's don't capture the public's attention regardless of the artist.

Im guessing that the reason its peaked lower stateside is probably cause of the lack of radio presence. Im not that bothered by TIHTY perceived lack of success though. Its a song from a documentary with a strong message, it would be nice to see it be more successful but the song wasnt crafted to be a hit but to get people talking.
Her core fanbase knew about the song literally months and months ago and the general public havent heard it beside the Oscars performance, (if she had won the award it would be doing substantially better imo) also the song is about rape, so you can instantly add in the 'dude-bros' and 'meninists' automatically dismissing the song.

G.U.Y. has barely been promoted and had no radio deal (or it was a mess), plus that mess about two different versions of the video (without it, it would be Vevo certified now)..

TIHTY is a song that has been released more than 6 months ago (and leaked weeks / months before), Diane hyped it for months while Gaga's team and Interscope had no plan for it... Gaga is too late to promote it... The 'hype' for this song is long gone for fans...

I always say/said that the message is the most important.

But it surprises me to see so low stream numbers

She will have more difficulties outside US. The song still managed to debut on Hot100, while the rest of the world didnt care.

yes and

Of course she has. American fans more than anywhere.
TIHTY was leaked almost an year ago, and the song debuted #102 in september.
Hot 100 - not only sales, it is sales + streaming + radio rotations.

@Zilla did you buy the song ? :green:

Of course I did, I buy all her music.

i just feel like everybody here is obsessed with that dancy sexual jams instead of a slow ballad (minus Adele). Let's see how this impacts radio
