why is everyone turning the guy's question into something he never said or implied??

He didn't say she didn't need to breathe, he just asked if she is covering it up by doing a "routine" when she's taking a break.

Seems to me like you don't like the answer, so you're taking the question out of context.

Yeah thats basically what i meant!

like all artists must breath but ive seen many powerful vocalists who dont stop as long and as frequently. In fact some dont stop period despite challanging songs

Im not criticizing Gaga if she uses it as a technique to be able to push herself and cleverly time her breaks. After all, a good artist will also know how to masque their weaknesses and make the best of their abilities or limitations

In this case Gaga does it in a way u might never notice. Only fans like us who see her performances so often start to see a pattern and it gets suspicious :green:

I agree with your analysis :)

But I do not agree with interpretation of it. I think it is a smart way to keep your vocals under control, deliver emotions, and impress the audience rather than tricking.

For sure. It has all those positive effects i agree

But she also would never admit that she needs to take breaks cause she struggles with the really powerful vocals but i think its the case

she covers it up good tho. Takes her situation and her limitations and makes the best if them to present it in a way that still looks great!

"Trick" is not the right word to describe it. She is not trying to fool anyone because she can hit those notes and she can sing.

She lets the public interact with her durin her performances like any great performer does. Liza Minnelli does that a lot because she is very theatrical.

It's probably a theatrical pause to let the audience take into account what just happened, something she probably learned while acting. Maybe it is what you're talking about as well, she has gotten older and her voice does seem to have matured as well, but might just be for the added emotion?

IDK, I think its a technique she uses for Drama. I think she recommended it to a AI contestant when she was a mentor

REALITY

I don't think she's "tricking the audience", if anything it is probably real emotion she's showing, she's just being smart about where to take a breath. I mean, it wouldn't be smart to take a breath right before her big high note, then that would ruin the flow of the song. She takes a break after because not only it is the most appropriate time to do so, but it also gives her some time to really let her emotions run through, I mean, with a song like Til it Happens to You, how can she not be emotional when singing that song?
