Not everything has to be about deep instense stories. There are moments to have fun, laugh, being stupid, etc. People were expecting another AHS from Murphy, but this show is quite the opposite. It is also hard for people to get this kind of stupid black jokes, which are at the same time a way to criticise our society if you analyse them well. I can enjoy both, a show like AHS, another like HTGAWM, others like Breaking Bad, OITNB, Desperate Houswifes, Empire... and scream queens. Yea, it failed in ratings, but it pandered to tween girls and the gays, go figure. It's still a far better, far more entertaining show than AHS. Gaga should have cameoed it. With ACS, Ryan had to conform to the facts thus limiting his ideas. With that, he did a fantastic job. I hope he enjoys the freedom AHS provides him with and is able to produce something as good as Asylum, and what he's currently doing with ACS looks very promising.
