As you all probably know by now, this era was unprecedented as far as in-between eras go (an Oscar and Grammy-nominated song, a Golden-Globe winning-role in a TV show, plenty of acclaimed performances -- Superbowl, Frank Sinatra, Stevie Wonder, Bowie, and Julie Andrews tributes, etc., and awards -- Songwriter's Hall of Fame, Billboard WOTY, Americans for the Arts). Long story short, this era was pivotal in Gaga's career and it would be disappointing if it didn't have its own, catchy name. A few months down the road when we refer back to this time (beginning with the Oscars performance in 2015 and ending around now), what do you think we should call it? It was when she went back to the root of it all: music. She left pop because of all the politics and BS.. and started focusing on her talent. She layed the foundation for her legendary status beginning with classic jazz music. I don't think we'll ever truly grasp how many doors C2C opened for her.
