This is funny timing after my recent article on Alicia Key's career seen here: From Billboard: http://www.billboard.com/articles/business/6897387/alicia-keys-erika-rose-manager Alicia Keys’ longtime co-manager Erika Rose is now the artist’s sole manager. Rose steps up following Keys’ amicable departure from Maverick. The 15-time Grammy Award winner was co-signed by Maverick principals Guy Oseary and Ron Laffitte in 2014. Rose’s co-manager association with Keys dates back to 2010 when the singer/songwriter signed with Red Light Management. Prior to that, Keys was initially managed by Jeff Robinson through MBK Entertainment. Rose first began working with Keys in 2001 as the artist’s road manager. Since then she has become a major partner in Keys’ creative and business endeavors --including albums, world tours, film and stage productions -- as well as philanthropic initiatives under the artist’s AK Worldwide banner. “Erika has played an instrumental role in my artistry since day one,” said Keys, who plans to release a new album this year. “She is a strategic manager who makes smart decisions and understands the balance between business and creative endeavors. I feel a great sense of trust and clarity knowing she will be holding the reins of my career as my business partner.
