It's not like Born This Way where you know it supports homosexuality. Putting this song on the radio was just to prepare people for Gagas lead single. Let's not pretend it's anything deeper. What is this delusion?

Or a more accurate translation: This song was never intended to be a single. It wasn't written in a way to be a radio hit. However, it had such a strong response from The Oscars that we are sending it out in hopes that a few radio stations will play it some, so that others that might respond to a song like this might be exposed to it. ctherainbow 3,162
If it gets one extra spin from being sent to radio and changes one person's life, then fantastic. If it gets many spins on radio, changes many people's lives, is a mild hit, is a decent selling charity single for Gaga, puts her back on the charts, and is another thing to add to her resume, then fantastic. Why begrudge monsters who like watching charts the chance to watch a Gaga song rise on the charts? It's exciting; I'm sure they realize what the original point of the song was, so there's no reason to spoil their fun. I'm talkin' 'bout forever, baby. The song has been out for a year though, we already appreciated its message. I don't see anything wrong with Monsters who like tracking how she's doing on the charts, it's exciting and it obviously doesn't disparage its message. There is nothing wrong with tracking the song I guess, but is the fact that people seem to forgot why is being released in the first place that seems wrong. Because it trended for a few hours on Twitter? Playing it on the radio would get more attention. Lady Gaga | Shakira
