I've heard so many stuff about how they were singing in the same bars and we're bffs but I don't know the exact facts.

They did perform on the same circuit in New York and I think they may have seen each other perform before, but they never spoke in person and were definitely not bffs lol.

Long story short Bob 'discovered' both of them, Gaga when she was very young. When Gaga started getting industry attention she apparently wanted Bob to be her manager, but Joe was for whatever reason not happy with this and didn't want him to be involved so he was kind of pushed aside. Joe promised Bob that he would get some money for getting Gaga her 'break' as it were despite not being involved, but that never happened. Lana was very loyal to Bob and grateful for all he did for her (as well as Gaga and presumably others), and was mad about how the Germanottas allegedly treated Bob - then So Legit happened.

That's what Bob has revealed, anyway. I guess there's no real way of saying whether that's true or not but we at least know that Lana and Gaga never met or hung out before fame, but they were certainly aware of each other and had mutual friends. Seems they've now put any issues in the past which makes me happy.
