We're probably getting the lead single in May

It's so obvious to me. I don't get how another other month works! We should all agree that Gaga still needs some time to finish up LG5 during this month + next. She has TIHTY to keep her in the public eye for that time period & it will definitely start to decline on radio by May. I think we'll get the 1st single May 13th with a BBMA debut perfommance, 2nd single August 5th with a VMA debut performance & the album August 26th. She's trying to make the lead single this summer's smash! Bookmark me.

I still don't understand this kind of model.

A single dropped, three months for the next single, then nearly a month for the album after that? With the way things fall out of popularity so fast these days I'd say there should be no more than two months between a lead single release and the album release. That just makes sense to me but I don't know much about this kind of thing. Just my opinion.

Based on Gaga's past eras, we're in for it again. She tends to space the album & the single out & releases 2 singles before the album to make sure her music connects with the GP.

It's not obvious if its just your prediction. Gaga has never performed at BBMA so whats you make thing she will perform it now? I think she's waiting for a fall lead single release.

If you pay close attention, you can tell Gaga won't be releasing ANY time "soon." She is still in the TIHTY mode and the album is not in the final stages.

August - Lead Single
October - Second Single
November - Album
March - Third Single
May - Tour

The wait is killing me. The only saving factor is that I know it'll be worth it.

Billboard Women Of The Year says hi  Billboard loves her! She just hasn't had the time & her schedule doesn't fit! 

2012: no music to promote

2013: no music to promote

2014: no music to promote 

2015: no new music to promote 

See, she just doesn't have music out during the time. That doesn't mean she would miss it she she had an opportunity!

The single releases preceded the albums by so long so there was time to hype and promote the hell out of them, particularly with Born This Way and ARTPOP - although the latter didn't go so well. However with those albums she also spilled a lot of info and hyped us up a lot long before each lead single even came out. I mean she literally gave us the 'ARTPOP' title in August 2012, well over a year before the album came out... This time we barely know anything about LG5 except for a few potential producers. The commercial approach to this album has already been different so we're not necessarily 'in for' anything.
