Well it would actually make sense. The game show kinda did have a plot. Very easy to turn it into a movie

I read somewhere that the show was legitimately rigged. Like they only had enough prize money in their budget for a certain number of winners per season, so they made sure most of the kids got caught in the temple.

Sorry if I destroyed any childhoods this evening.

 Probably going to pull a TV movie and TV series method.  They'll make the movie to see how people respond to it and then if the response is good,  they can revive game show

That wouldn't surprise me at all. I rarely saw anyone win that show because those evil things would always come and grab the kids!
