fv3lasquez 54
Am I the only one who would love to know what Gaga's speech would have been like if she would have won? I imagine she would have brought up the Kesha issue - It's so upsetting that she didn't win, not for herself or for Diane, but because this is a serious topic that needs attention. The GP's reaction to her losing is incredible, since most agree that she was robbed. TIHTY is currently #8 on iTunes.. I'm thinking if she would have won it would have skyrocketed more than it did with her losing. Such a shame!
Supersonic 49,376
She probably would have mentioned Kesha. Which is probably also one of the reasons she didn't win. The entertainment industry does not accept or tolerate any criticism towards the machinery itself, regardless of whether the music, film OR TV industry gets criticized. It's nothing but a mob of old white men trying to cover each other's wrongdoings up.
homomo 23,883
Personally, I think her not winning is getting TIHTY more attention: Journalists, people, and articles all over are saying that WOTW didn't deserve it, and are saying TIHTY is the better contender. Most people have heart that Sam Smith track; however, not many have heard TIHTY. This ends up sparking an interest in TIHTY, because people will think, "is it really better than a James Bond song?" And then take a listen for themselves. i dont know, just my opinion. 0110100001100101011011000110110001101111
llbcherry 591
I think losing has drawn more attention as well, since it has brought up so much conversation about how it should have won. I would have liked to hear her speech though. I imagine she would thank Diane for bringing her on to the project, for everyone involved with the track, the creators of the Hunting Ground, and all the brave young men and women who spoke out in the film, and for every other survivor out there. That her dream is to end rape, abuse, incest, and sexual violence, but until then, to love and support survivors. To stop the victim blaming. I imagine she would thank her family, the puppies, Taylor, David Bowie for his inspiration, God, all of her fans, and the academy for recognizing and supporting such an important issue.
