This isn't immaturity, just people stopped faking themselves and being positive to everything. This generations is more brutally honest. If someone is not in their interest or something is not deserved or good, no need to fake my reaction or congratulate him. That win was sooo undeserved and that's it. TIHTY was miles better and had the acclaim, the meaning. The other one was even brutally slammed by media and called as a 'flop'. Why would I keep saying that he deserved it? No, he didn't.

You aren't doing that, though. All you are doing is trying to tell others how they should react and what they should respect. The irony is that you can't let people even have twenty four hours to process disappointment. 

So, just to get this right, you support all artists and actors of every awards ceremony who have ever won any award, because they are "achieving their dreams". That means you will never, ever complain about anyone winning an award of any kind, right?

Don't know why people are dragging Sam, he didn't choose to win. If you're angry, maybe be angry at the academy? He's won an amazing award and I congratulate him for that. Even if people disagree with the judgement, dragging Sam to hell isn't going to make anything any better.

I never told anyone how to react, I only recoomened that people should respect other and I used the opportunity to be the first person that says an honest congratulation. You are the one that acts like the judge the whole time and tell me what to do. Get over it.

Noone said that you should agree with the decision though. To congratulate doesn't mean that you agree with it, it means that you respect others.

Yes, you did tell people how to react and that's the issue with your comment. Say your congratulations, but don't tell others that they have to respect something, just because you do.

I don't compare these two things though, I just show you the difference between agreeing and liking something with respecting it. They are not the same but they work the same.

What you don't seem to understand is that no one should congratulate him if they are disappointed with the outcome. It's really stupid to pretend that, especially if people think he did not deserve the award. 

Now, what I honestly consider immature and unnecessary is hating on him in general. He's not a bad person and it's not his fault that he won, yes, he made some mistakes in his speech but saying the awful things I've seen here does not make you better than him, it's the opposite.

They are both parts of society, homosexuals and artists. When you know respect you respect everyone that has the same rights as you regardless if he is gay, a singer or a garbage collector.
