All the people who voted saw only the name of the movie, and the name of the song. I believe they just saw "Spectre" and voted for it since it is easily the most recognisable/respected name on the list, I believe Gaga would have snagged it if her name was listed.

It also just shows how lazy the voters are not even listening to the songs before they vote for them.

If I understood correctly, this was Diane's version without *now only supposed* Gaga's touch... well actually the final version it's very similar, except for the vocals that are naturally less rough than in this first demo; but she seems to be taking some different notes, like in the part "won't know how it feels" and some others, so yeah it sound more hopeless also imo
