yASSsss 35,510
Lady Gaga may not have won an Oscar on Sunday night, but her appearance at the Academy Awards registered as a clear victory.Nominated for best original song with “Til It Happens to You,” her tune about college sexual assault from “The Hunting Ground,” the pop superstar unexpectedly lost to Sam Smith, Following Smith’s shaky rendition of “Writing’s on the Wall” and the Weeknd’s snoozy “Earned It” (as well as a perfectly forgettable “Blackbird” by Dave Grohl during the “In Memoriam” sequence), Lady Gaga brought the Oscars show to a standstill with a fierce, deeply personal performance of “Til It Happens to You” that had the singer surrounded by a group of young people identified as survivors of abuse. It was an electric moment, full of the kind of spiky intensity we rarely see at highly polished awards shows. The performance also reminded me of a Lady Gaga we haven’t seen for a while. She hardly needed a trophy to take the night. Gypsy Life 118,907
Sorry, Sam Smith, but Lady Gaga very clearly won the Oscarshttp://www.latimes.com/entertainment/music/posts/la-et-ms-lady-gaga-oscars-performance-20160229-story.html Lady Gaga may not have won an Oscar on Sunday night, but her appearance at the Academy Awards registered as a clear victory. Yet there was no doubt who came out on top as Sunday’s most effective musical act. Following Smith’s shaky rendition of “Writing’s on the Wall” and the Weeknd’s snoozy “Earned It” (as well as a perfectly forgettable “Blackbird” by Dave Grohl during the “In Memoriam” sequence), Lady Gaga brought the Oscars show to a standstill with a fierce, deeply personal performance of “Til It Happens to You” that had the singer surrounded by a group of young people identified as survivors of abuse. It was an electric moment, full of the kind of spiky intensity we rarely see at highly polished awards shows. Banging away at her white grand piano, her lacquered blond hair threatening to shake loose, Gaga struck a beautiful balance Sunday between precision and ferocity, pageantry and expression. She hardly needed a trophy to take the night.

Sky del Blue 2,975
I can already see Sam Smith becoming new Katy Perry to Little monsters
DiscoHeaven23 35,007
I think in a way its better that she lost, cuz now she's getting all this support. If she had won there might have been backlash, potentially Linda Perry's tweets could've come back to haunt us all.
Blue Jeans 3,815
Guys, it's not like Sam paid for his Oscar, stop being so dramatic all the time, we lost, it's fine... blame the old white male voters not the winner Destiny is for losers. It’s just a stupid excuse to wait for things to happen instead of making them happen

Mister Gaga 22,924
GUYS. FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER, THE GP IS ON GAGA'S SIDE. MEDIA, PEOPLE, CELEBRITIES. EVERYONE. She officially won the GP back. People are now aware of her incredible voice. They finally saw real talent under the outrageous outfits. I haven't seen ONE single comment about her clothing. Everyone's talking about how powerful this performance was. I don't need that trophy, sorry.
VforVendetta 2,024
It's ok, The Bond soundtrack was a very nice song, Gaga stole the night anyway. She will win an Oscar sometime, she won a Golden Globe this year. I mean Dicaprio has played the last 10 years in some of the best movies out there and he just got his first Oscar. relax. lego 44,165
I'm out of likes. I love all these articles, keep them coming. So many people think Gaga and Diane deserved it more and then we have some bitter stans of some other pop girls trying to convince us how Sam's song was actually better.
