Cover the lower half of her face, pretend you hadn't seen the original image, and read that emotion. She looks like she's going to cry. There's no crinkling around the eyes, the upper facial muscles are very loose, she's looking towards the ground and into the distance. These are marks of sadness not happiness. She's very upset about the loss. I feel like she thought it would have been a great opportunity for a song with such a powerful message to win an academy award. And maybe that it'd be nice for Diane too. And it'd be her first Oscar. She probably knew her chances of winning were predicted very high too. But it was very gracious of her to try so hard to genuinely smile and keep her head high. She's a lovely girl. I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.
