This performance was originally going to be the world premiere of Venus, and the single would then have dropped at midnight. There was obviously something very grand planned for the performance that was then scrapped at the last minute when Venus was dropped as a single so this was thrown together. It's clear that the entire Venus era had been so planned to every last detail which is why there was so much seashell and Venus imagery throughout the DWUW performances, and ARTPOP in general. I think with all the media backlash she should have done these unapologetic over the top strong gaga performances instead of showing her fragile side, but I kind of love this regardless.
