well, she certainly doesn't just have 60 million dollars to give to anybody. And she can't write songs by herself and have other people sing them, that's the whole point. She's signed to Dr Luke's publishing company AND his label, which means he own all her recordings, masters, owns the publishing to all her work she'll ever create while under contract. He basically owns all her intellectual property.

At my old school there was a story about this guy who was in a band, and they got the opportunity to sign a major deal with a major label, and they moved out to LA to work on their record and stuff. It never got released, but they were never released from the contract, either. The album got shelved, because the label didn't want to invest money into promoting it, and least not for the time being, but didn't want to let them release it under someone else, either. So they were basically trapped in music business limbo hell forever. I don't know if they were ever let out

I have seen quotes from both sony and luke stating she can produce her own music away from them, she she wants to do that AND still have them promote her that aint gonna happen and from a moral aspect she either lied in court or lied on camera cuz I seen testimony from her saying she wasn't raped(deposition) and that she was and Lord knows you cant have it both ways in that regard either
