question

Would TFM still be an amazing record if it didn't do well?

Yes, after all it's all about the music, isn't it..? ✨

Nope

Yes, but I do believe a lot of fans (casual or stans) would not place it as #1. It's my third favorite from hers. It's good, but the definition of a record made for the GP w/o losing integrity so I can't love it completely. I prefer BTW and always have.

Dark Anatomy

Yes. Let me be blunt.

"The Fame Monster" is literally the best thing to come from her discography. It has a clear, understandable concept that doesn't sacrifice it's artistic vision. The songs have visible substance yet are extremely catchy. The production and mastering on it is simply divine. It's visuals are very cohesive recognizable. Not one filler song on that bitch, and yes I think Teeth is the ****. FIGHT ME.

Born This Way has great individual songs, but as a body of work lacks a bit of cohesive-ness. Still, her second best effort. There are plenty of tracks that could've been deleted.

The Fame starts off strong then fizzles out after 5 or 6 tracks. The only thing remarkable about it really are the singles.

ARTSLOP help me lawd. No clear concept or voice. Auto-tune for days. No soul. Sex sex sex. Maybe 2 great songs on the whole thing and a few gems, the rest garbage.

I think TFM's success is a result of its quality and fresh interesting concept. For me the only song that has aged horrendously is Telephone. Sorry but I can't stand it anymore but the rest is divine. But I get what you mean. I've noticed it among many members here - missing more the feeling of Gaga's reign and innovation at the time rather than the music itself. But I suppose it's natural. Nobody would want her to sound the same. Instead GGD is hoping she will find that new sound in pop that could potentially bring similar success.

Also, to some of you, please cut the attitude towards ARTPOP stans, okay? I know some members are giving a hard time with the rants but this period is slowly becoming a thing of the past. Besides, you can't just assume that just becase someone became a stan during AP era then they are being hateful towards Gaga's older discography. :duck:

Spill that scalding tea, sister!!  Just because my profile states that I joined this forum in November of 2013 doesn't mean that that's when I became a fan of Lady Gaga.  I've been obsessed with Gaga since she released The Fame and have been in love with every single one of her albums.

Each album has a special meaning to me and I love all of them the same, but if I was forced to rank them then I would do just that and TFM would not be number 1.

I don't care what you think about unless it is about me.

Of course it would, only then You would have had to have discovered by your lonesome.

Commercial success is irrelevant to my enjoyment of music. I jammed hard to The Fame Monster back in 2010 when I didn't care about charts, so yeah!

I'm not a woman. I'm not a man. I am something that you'll never understand.

Oh please. The Fame Monster is her best and most acclaimed piece of artistry by both this fanbase and the GP.

In my messy era.

Yes. I don't really give a **** about an album's success when I enjoy it. As it should be.

They say it's the last song. They don't know us, you see. It's only the last song if we let it be.
