Refugees tried to hang themselves -unsuccessfully- at a central square of Athens. The one is ok, the other one has respiratory problems. Europe has closed its borders to them and they are trapped in Greece which is an "entrance-to-Europe" country for them geographically. Sorry for the link, it's in greek but has some pictures though. RIP humanism!

Austria and Hungary closed their borders, they are european countries. FYI The Balkan countries are also European countries 3 of them (Greece, Bulgaria and Romania) are also members of the EU

Yeah but I mean it's not all Europe. There are still open boarders here in Germany, thankfully

Yes but they can't get to Germany (most of refugees want to go there) because Germany's neibour countries Austria and Hungary have closed their borders, so it's impossible for them to approach central and northern Europe

I'm going to be in Athens in June - I'm quite unsure of what to expect going there given the current situation with the economy and the refugee-chaos. 

Such a serious situation - the EU should not close their borders to these people; but rather try and find a solution for them. I don't expect refugees who come into Europe or any other country for that matter to give up on their lives quietly. 

EU needs to ensure it upholds every human's right to live, and to live safely. All rejection will achieve is violence, anger and well.. war.

1. I did not say I knew who they were but I do know they are not Syrian

2. The comment section is for you to give your comment on the topic and not to answer or do what others ask from you

Everyone agrees with this in theory, but its very hard to put in practice, especially in a region where economic power isnt as its best.

Very true. In a perfect world, the theory would work but this Earth is anything but. I guess Greece's vulnerability at this stage makes it the perfect entry for refugees. Such a shame these innocent people have been forced out of their country by the people who are meant to be making their country a better place to live in. It's angers beyond belief.

Can't they go through Albania and Macedonia? Or have they closed their borders now too?

FYROM (I dont say Macedonia, cause Macedonia is a greek  name and not recognized internationally , conflict around that for years) has closed its borders with Greece. I dont know what's going on with Albania, no refygee goes via Albania, I guess they know sth!
