Meanwhile, Taylor's done more to help Kesha than you fervent hashtag activists who will forget about all this in a week. IMHO when it comes to situations like this, public attention is way better than money. I don't think Kesha is broke. Taylor could've helped so much with her media power. Issues like this don't need funding, they need the public'sattention. MAKE IT WORK

What's actually unbelievable is that people think supporting Kesha with money is "private." What the actual ****, we are talking about it right now because of Taylor. It's the haters distracting from the issue, not Taylor.

GagaSkeletonWay 2,080
I mean, it's nice from Taylor, but wtf has it got to do with her situation? I don't think what she needs is money, it's a change.
Diamond Heart 4,400
Honestly i dont like this. i have nothing against Taylor and of course giving someone in need money is always a good thing but imo we need people to actually SAY something and as someone who brands herself as a progressive feminist, i expected her to actually speak up not just throw money at the situation. It feels like a cop out to me tbh. "GGD IS NOT FOR YOU" - Admin

Taylor could've helped so much with her media power. Issues like this don't need funding, they need the public'sattention. Kesha is broke, She signed a contract with Dr.Luke where it is stated cannot work with music producers, publishers, or record labels to release new music without his permission. With no new music to perform, Kesha cannot tour. Off the radio and stage and out of the spotlight, Kesha cannot sell merchandise, receive sponsorships, or get media attention. Her brand value has fallen, and unless the Court issues this injunction, Kesha will suffer irreparable harm, plummeting her career past the point of no return. That 250 grand may not be that big but it will certainly help to pay the legal team to help her to revoke that contract. Everyone do their part, either by moral support that people do on twitter, or physically that Taylor Swift does, neither of them are bad thing to.do as Kesha need every help she can get, in any form. GagaMyBlood95 9,915
I did not expect this, but it's really nice from Taylor, even if it is for publicity or whatever, it will help Kesha!

JeffSwift 314
How the hell are some of you still mad.... Taylor doesn't tweet: You're mad. Taylor donates 250K to help someone who could be in financial distress: you're mad It must really take a lot of effort, to be offended by EVERYTHING that she does without fail. SlaeUrAnus 16,009
Taylor cannot win! She doesn't speak up and she gets judged, but when she does, she gets judged! Anything is better than a tweet. Financial support is helpful in this scenario because lawyers and court cases are not cheap! Well done Taylor! In my messy era.
