I don't like DopeGa. Who's with me?

Bad Bromance

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion.  I just happen to disagree with all of the users who are bashing Gaga's "Dope" vocals.  People on this site seem to forget that Gaga can sing in pretty much any range and she will choose to sing her songs in whatever range and emotion she chooses to give to her song.

If some of you don't appreciate her uniqueness, that's fine, but don't expect everybody, especially Gaga's most die-hard fans, to agree with the lukewarm and fair-weather fans she has on this site who pride themselves on not being "sheep" and blindly liking everything Gaga does.

I don't care what you think about unless it is about me.

You can't say it'S all the same.

Imagine was sung in an operatic style and it was incredible :applause:

The Anthem had everything, powerful dark, low voice and high beautiful notes and many beautiful shades between these poles. it was very impressive...oh and soulful.

And i love her dark voice in TIHTY. Hope she makes more records with this style of voice. I can imagine how a Gaga dancefloor song could sound with this kind of voice.

THANK. YOU.

Cheek to Cheek has been a blessing and a curse. At times it is tolerable:

Though recently she sounds like she's holding her hand to her mouth. Recently she sounds so clogged that I want to shove a toilet plunger down her throat. It's painful; more than that, however, it's sad. Her voice used to be lighter but extremely powerful. Her belts were a lot stronger, her enunciation was perfect, she didn't sound like a vacuum cleaner, etc. Compare her recent dire vocals to this:

and this:

this, too:

and more importantly:

Hear that? CLEAR, CRISP and BOOMING vocals. You can picture her voice filling every crevice of the arena. I tried to be fair and include one example from the ARTPOP era where she isn't putting on that ghastly voice, just to prove she still has it in her. And I know it has nothing to do with age or smoking -- in fact, smoking would make her vocals more raw and less theatre school. Lady, simply put, your recent vocals are atrocious and I would not bare an entire LP full of them.

Let's make Gaga great again.

It's funny because i disagree tototal, she sounds now better than in all your examples and Gaga knows that and the listeners  hear that, she sounds now better than ever and she has very wide range.

I think you can't handle  how ****ing incredible she can sing. I find your examples boring when i compare it with her vocals from the last 2 years. Especially the belting at American Music Awards, it's too Christina Aguilera, but i mean it positive. It was funny for one single.

The entire world recognizes Gaga as a superb vocalist thanks to two years of incredible performances.

Fans call her vocals atrocious and tell her to never sing that way again.

I like it. I mean, it's not like she sings like it all the time.

She's got a versatile voice.

3 points in and ready for more

At the end of the day she'll do whatever she wants. If you don't like it don't buy her music. She's a classically trained singer too (she's been singing Jazz since she was 13)

I don't disagree, but the performances she's gotten a lot of praise for haven't been ones where she's used the Dope voice.

And I think some people in here are labeling anything she does with a low voice as the Dope voice, when in reality the Dope voice is like...low and sad and borderline slurred to represent a non-sober state of mental/emotional stress. Like the National Anthem wasn't done in the Dope voice. :emma:
