We are so used to voices so compressed within an inch of their lives now that when we hear a full-throated, open-sung song, many don't realize the beauty and technique behind it. User 352 Posted February 22, 2016 Share Posted February 22, 2016 I think that you can't even hear all the nuances, you talk if Gagas voice is a traffic light and if all the performances sounds the same You pickded up some of the best performances ever from her, if she neved did what you don't like, she would be not where she is now. So i hope Gaga will not at hear to fans which don't understand nothing about singing and music. She just should follow her instincts. notconfident 279 Posted February 22, 2016 Share Posted February 22, 2016 Dope is indeed my favorite song on ARTPOP, and one of the only ones I actually like from that album. It's not a mess unlike some songs on ARTPOP and it's got a strong message. I see that a lot of people would disagree, but I personally think her voice is amazing in it and the "All these performances or songs where she sings like this MUST be never heard AGAIN!" really got on my nerves. I'm personally not a big fan of the JazzGa or even the whole akward ARTPOP era with colorful tours, pacifiers and stuff, but I'm not ranting about it. She is allowed to do anything she wants and I'll always appreciate her no matter what material she releases and I'll be totally fine with her publishing the second jazz album. She is not like your average singer because most of their songs have the same type of vocals. You clearly don't know nothing about singing tecniques...the "dope voice" as you guys call it it's a common method used to reach high notes better...simply when you cover your voice it will be easier to belt high notes.
