...and everyone complains that this album is boring and lacking of radio hits..

I think ANTI is the most unapologetically Rihanna album she's put out and this interview just reiterated my opinion.

Is that a pun?

Its funny how Rihanna is actually flopping but seen as a successful business woman for her deal with Samsung yet ARTPOP was pure sales and was deemed a flop?

The album is not good imo. I only saved two songs, Work and Love On The Brain..

Maybe it's just me, but I wasn't happy with it.

I actually don't think it takes much of an experimental route. Maybe in some of the productions, but it sounds similar to what Kendrick, Drake and even Kanye have been releasing.

It is very different for her though and I don't really think any of the songs are radio friendly at all besides Work and Kiss it Better.

And I still stand by my statement that 45secs, AO, and BBHMM should've been on the album, they suited the theme and were stronger radio songs.

The way he keeps on saying "not that she didn't contribute before, but..." suggests that she barely ever played a role. We have numerous sources confirming that she has barely been involved in her music over the years. I don't buy it that she did a decent sized chunk of contribution this time considering she still has 6-8 co-writers per track. Write 3/4 of your album with just 1-2 other co-writers and then we'll talk about contribution. The way this producer talks, you can tell he lives in top 40 world. The way he thinks what she's doing is something so different to other artists and that like she's the first artist who wants to create a masterpiece is very revealing. The fact he thinks all this is something unusual confirms that he's used to commercialism and pop puppets doing what they're told, so all this stuff seems like new territory.

But We’re always working on it together, but this time that she heard that she felt wasn’t perfection

but now she’s like, “Listen, let’s up the quality level.” Let’s make sure we have the emotion, and make sure it’s a masterpiece.

So being creativity involved in your own album and writing your own lyrics  is "completely different than everyone else"?
