I understand that. I just hope that she at least looked at both sides of the situation. A lot of times, rape victims are dismissed and make out to be opportunists. It looks even worse when you have artists such as Kelly Clarckson insinuating that he was a creep. Dr. Luke has had several people call him "creepy." So its not like this just appeared out of thin air. Kesha was the first artist tk actually go into detail and take action.

I hope she did as well and there's plenty of good reason to think Dr. Luke did it. I'm just saying that if Katy doesn't drop him and keeps him in her camp, that we shouldn't judge her and bash her.

No Dr. Luke makes people who work with him sign contracts period. Producers do it all the time. He made Nicki sign one for RR as wll.

For example, remember how Britney released Radar after that era was over? It was because her team forgot to release it during that album cycle, so they had to rework it for ber new album. She signed an contract with those producers, so she had to fulfill it.

They don't have to release his songs as singles. That's up to the label. They are going to pick the songs that have the best chance at radio. Look up his list of songs and you will see that there are many, many songs over the years that he has produced and co-written for other artists that have never been released as hits.

Katy relies on him for her hit songs, but she wasn't in a contract to where she could only release those songs.

They referenced her instagram post but to be honest that post looks like more of a diss on Luke than Kesha...

This seems to be a case of the media once again pitting pop stars against each other, except this time they're doing it over rape allegations. Despicable.

I don't really like Katy but I agree with you, I don't think Katy is throwing Kesha shade.  That's why Twitter comments should be clear and concise. They should not be cryptic or have symbolizism that can be read in different ways. Doesn't she employ a PR person?

This is something Demi Lovato talked about once. Dr Luke did a song for her, and when she decided not to release it as a single, he took it away from her.

That's awful. That's something artists should not stand by.

Nothing against Katy, but she is created plastic popstar and not an artist, that's her problem now.

Ironically when she criticized Gaga for the Alejandro video - that's the difference between an artist and someone who is bought  and plays the game just for fame and money without artistry and  own soul.

It would of course be different if kesha is lying.

How is she a created plastic pop star? She writes, sings and performs?

A manufactured star would have hits written for them,  lip sync and has messy performances.

... and don't try and say she doesn't write her own material.

Either way let's not turn this into a Gaga Vs Katy thread yet again.

Not every song they make has to be released as a single, but some producers will stipulate that if you work together on a particular song, you have to release it as a single at some point. Dr. Luke does it all the time.

I don't think that Katy Perry is a bad person at all, but i think her weakness in musical skills  caused it that she couldn't be authentic to herself.

But Gaga already also made some bad decisions which showing the negative sides of her persona,

Many of his songs for other artists weren't released as singles, while others were chosen. Dr. Luke works so much with Katy, it would make sense that midst of her hits come from him. Despite him being a controlling ass, he does have a talent for writing and producing songs that are good for radio play.

Why would she call Katy Perry for support? I don't think Katy ever showed interest in supporting rape victimes or any kind of feminism... Probably fake.

But yes probably Katy will continue to work with Dr Luke, she needs the hits & the fame she's so thirsty for

You're missing what I'm saying. :smh:

He doesn't do it for every song, just for a select few. Like Ciara's "Dance Like We're Making Love" was an old song but was released on her next album and became a single. And just like how Nicki released the music they did together and barely even gave it any promo.
