for those who say yes, do you guys even think before you comment?

G.U.Y. underperformed because it barely received any promotion from Gaga, not because it's a bad song. It was a fans' favorite before it underperformed and because this volatile fanbase cherishes only whatever that wins awards and do well commercially, they decided G.U.Y. was a bad song afterwards.

Disagree with your reasons why GUY underperformed but agree with your assessment of the fanbase.

It's almost a fact. Gaga did almost nothing to help it chart.

So you think it's Gaga's fault? I don't like playing the blame game. It makes me feel pretentious. Besides, what the hell is almost a fact?

VOLANTIS

It wasnt the song choice. It was the lack of promo. So Gaga could have released something that makes Bad Romance sound like a fart but with no promo and a lackluster presentation of the era, it would have still flopped hard.

I'll lift you 3 inches off the ground and drag you to a meter and a half

No one blamed Gaga. I said G.U.Y. underperformed because it was not promoted, it's an analysis, an observation.

Why was it underpromoted? That's what I want to know.

This song has close 300 million views whereas guy has 70 it should explain why guy wasn't promoted despite being much better.

Here is another one that gets radio play https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PIb6AZdTr-A blatent brainwashing.Girls just want to have fun = girls focus on having fun and leave it to us (the government) to decide everything. Men conform coz the girls just want to get taken on holiday and so you better just leave it to us (the government) to decide everything  or you will be very lonely.

The thing with run the world it is so blatent coz the only lyric repeated over and over is girls run the world and the first rule of brainwashing is repetetion. The line "You'll do anything for me" is female dominance obviously men should have boundaries not do anything for women.

Guy is a bit of an antithesis to these songs so not going to get support from media. It even talks about truth and love and has visuals with other taboo themes like marriage and men standing up for themselves and their women against the "boss" who gets a bottle over the head by a woman OMG is it any wonder it was a "flop"? You could hardly write a song less likely to get supported by the media.

G.U.Y had the potential to be a chart topper if she did more than perform it on 1 show.. it's a very good song, the fact it has 70 million views with little to no radio play, no chart performance and 1 TV promotion is VERY good.

River

This song jinxed her.. she bragged in it too much and one month later she broke her hip, canceled all the sold out shows, ARTPOP flopped, management problems and you know all the rest..

So sploosh your juice all over me you Riverboy
