Who has bought Fire Emblem Fates?

Who has bought Fire Emblem Fates? Which version did you get Birthright or Conquest? Or are you waiting for the special edition where all three storylines are available.

And what are you most excited for? The all unisexual classes? The stories? dragons? Kitsunes? Kitsune dragon babies? Being able to give all your female units shadowgift? SEXY MALE DARKFLIERS?

 

I was really excited about it, but then I learned in the American version, they have removed the male/male marriage and also have removed the petting feature. They also removed the more minor features of touch screen compatability (which doesn't bother me, but may bother others) and the options of Japanese voiceovers (once again, doesn't bother me, but bothers others).

I hope to find a petition to fix the male/male marriage thing. And the petting thing. Honestly, if it offends someone or is controversial or weird, we can avoid the feature. It doesn't need to be removed all together. And the support conversation can be changed (support conversation was said to have elements of "gay conversion therapy") and tend to be.

I'm probably still going to buy it. But I am just so miffed about the gay marriage thing. They kept Rhajat's marriage though, so we still win.

I am soooooooo excited to play it! I'm still torn on which one I should get first though. I heard good things about Birthright but the difficulty of Conquest sounds like a lot of fun! The story also sounds really good with some heartbreaks! I believe there still is male/male marriage with Niles in Conquest.

The only game I'm expecting is the new Zelda but I'm like tired of waiting, I mean, Nintendo hasn't even announced the release date

I got it!!  I had to go to THREE DIFFERENT STORES because the first 2 I checked didn't have any more in stock!!!!!

I wanted the special edition that had all 3 versions in one, but I didn't have enough money at the time before it sold out

So I just bought Birthright, and I'll buy the other version paths as dlc

I actually don't know much about it because I avoided spoilers when the Japanese version came out last year.  Corrin being in Smash Bros. was a huge spoiler about their powers though   I couldn't believe they would spoil something like that for a game that hadn't even come out yet at the time of the Smash dlc release lol (Corrin is really fun to play as in Smash tho!!  I was only excited for Bayonetta at first but I love playing as Corrin)

I'm liking it so far, but I'm finding it a little confusing because of all the new classes and stuff, but I'll get used to it as I play more I guess

I am waiting for exams to be over (2 weeks left!) before I get it, but I am SOOOO excited! Fire Emblem is like one of my favorite game series ever and the new game looks astonishing.

You can buy a special edition of the game that has all three paths.

But here's just a general rules of things:

Hoshido/birthright: More like Awakening, Sacred Stones, Gaiden. You can travel around, grind, basically have unlimited resources. But the gameplay is sorta more boring, being mostly rout, defeat the boss, seize.

Nohr/Conquest: More like Tellius, Shadow Dragon, Fire Emblem, The Holy Geneologies, etc: Structured, can't really travel anywhere, everything is limited. But far more variety in battles.

Revelations: Mixture of both.

Nope. According to wikipedia, they removed Niles' marriage and the petting feature in the western releases.

But the game was already released in Japan by the time Corrin was announced as a player wasn't he? Nothing is a spoiler for Japan. Kind of need more American gaming companies making games that would be expected from japan honestly.

A lot of the classes just have different names (mages are now diviners and are exclusive to Hoshido). They are a few new classes though. Can't wait to get my hands on a Malig Knight. UNDEAD DRAGON MAGE HERE I COME.

But I do love the classes though. Especially how they're all unisexual.

Exams will be over before you know it. Not to mention you can scrounge up money for the special edition or dlc. And the art seems to get better every game.

Do you even like Fire Emblem? Totally different from LoZ.

Plus I think Nintendo has been busy trying to keep a sinking ship from sinking. Though Xenoblade Chronicles X should force a massive amount of people to buy a Wii U.

How is the game?  I'm planning on buying a new game for my 3DS, and it's either this or Final Fantasy Explorers.  Both look like really fun games, but FFE is my top choice right now.

Anyone care to provide a brief overview of the game?  What's the play style like/genre?  Which version would you recommend?

I suggest find out which Fire Emblems you like then deciding on whether or not you want one game, two games, or all three. I suggest playing some ROMs to get a handle on how to play Fire Emblems.

But I haven't played this game yet, though it is to be similar to awakening. And that was amazing. I may also not suggest this for a beginner of the FE series because it has a lot of changes compared to previous games (such as unisexual classes and gay marriage).

I suggest getting some ROMs (Pm me if you want some) and playing some Fire Emblem on them.

I might, if I find one! Unfortunately, Nintendo never has enough of them. It's always a struggle, if you want one.

Yeah it was already released so I can't really  complain; I was just annoyed that I had gone months without getting anything spoiled and then it came to that 

It's nice the classes are genderless now, because the thought of male pegasus riders is adorable tbh 

I just hope I don't accidentally do what I did in Awakening and turn every person on my team into an Assassin lmao

Okay it wasn't -every- person but it was like 4 or 5 people, and funny enough Olivia became the strongest person on my team

And tbh I haven't even looked at the options for marriage yet, I should figure that out quick!!

Also, I'm pretty certain you can still S Support Niles in the English version?
