Klou 2,414
Out of the Woods only flopped because it was the 6th single, people. If it were an earlier single it would have done better. And yes... The single choices have been absolutely perfect.

Ferrer Zorola 3,966
yes! but out of the woods feels out of place, it's such a weak song to close the era to, good thing she's releasing new romantics idk why popstars never release bonus tracks as thinly singles, that would push the deluxe album sales >>> LIFE IS GOOD

Guest
Yes, except that Style didn't get any promo. It's become one of my favorite Taylor songs ever and I have been listening to her music for more than 5 years now.
JGD 11,867
I love all the songs she chose as singles. Not gonna lie, I love all the songs on 1989. But, I'd probably would want the singles/singles order to be: 1. Shake It Off 2. Blank Space 3. AYHTDWS 4. New Romantics - would've smashed as the song of the summer. 5. I Know Places 6. IWYW, HYGTG, or YAIL
Miley 5,006
I still hate the Bad Blood remix. The original >>>>> I like the new Wildest Dream version Out of the woods should've been 3rd single I don't like New Romantics
RAMROD 104,202
Bad Blood is the worst ones out of the bunch tbh. OOTW should be a single before that song. But the music video for is is decent so I am fine with it on the outcome. (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ✧*:・゚ 𝒬𝓊𝑒𝑒𝓃 𝓃𝑒𝓋𝑒𝓇 𝒸𝓇𝓎 (*´艸`*) ♡♡♡
Lord Temptation 11,209
1) Shake it Off is the only song I can't stand on the album 2) Style should've been the first single! 3) Instead of Bad Blood she should've released Out of the Woods; Wildest Dreams also didn't deserve to be a single 4) New Romantics would've been the song of the summer 5) Clean should've closed out the album (my favourite track) 6) I think 1989 is a great pop album but I hated all the music videos. Every single one. 7) No album, ever, should have more than five singles So my flawless 1989 singles run would be: Style Blank Space Out of the Woods New Romantics Clean
Versace 7,860
It was flawless till Bad Blood This would have been Flawless 1-Shake It Off 2-Blank Space 3-Style 4-Bad Blood ft Kendrick Lamar 5-New Romantics (Summer Smash) released around July 6-Wildest Dreams (Winter Smash) released around October 7-Clean (Grammy performance) released around OOTW cycle 8-All You Had To Do Was Stay ft The Weekend End Era
StrawberryBlond 14,102
I'm surprised to find that she picked all the songs i liked to be singles. So that's a big thing in her favour. But I only liked 5 songs on the album, including New Romantics, so it means she's also going to make a few bad choices with more than 5 singles. I think SIO was an abomination of a song, Blank Space is one of her best ever, Style is good, Bad Blood is one of her worst ever, Wildest Dreams is my second favourite song from her of all time and Out Of The Woods is good. New Romantics will also be a good choice. But I have the feeling she'll release an 8th one, to round off the era on an even number. And I have the feeling it'll be Clean (which I hate) and it'll be a tour footage video, like she always does to end an era. Honestly, if she'd just stuck to my 5 faves, I could have paid her the greatest compliment I've ever given her by saying she had not one bad single in an entire era. But she just had to release a terrible lead single to get people talking about her and she just had to capitalise on a diss song to get people talking again. It's going to get very embarrasing if she keeps on releasing singles. This amount is fine if it's attached to a re-release, but all from the same album. MJ did a lot of singles with his albums, but they were bigger sellers and this was back when music actually sold. Out Of The Woods did not improve on its chart position by being a single. It couldn't even get to the top 100 in the UK. Yes, I know it's a later single but still, after such a successful era, getting a top 20 in most of the world should not be that hard.
