Easier said than done. A lot of those songs are very beloved by the community. 

Personally, I'd feel like a hypocrite. I think Polanski is scum but I love his films. I also enjoy DWUW, even though R. Kelly is a pedo.

WOW I did not know he was part in creating ALL those songs. I could really see why Sony was supporting him. He's the real money maker. They could practically get some artist somewhere, have them sing his songs then BOOM MONEH.

You can't be possibly comparing a woman's mental and physical integrity, not to mention her ability to earn her living and express herself artistically, to burgers and meat! You don't have to boycott him, that's your prerogative, but please, and I mean PLEASE, don't ever repeat such hideous comparisson.

You've nailed it. All most labels see is the bottom line and their reputation as a money making industry. They have to think of their stocks after all, which unfortunately they put over the concerns of their artists, maybe even over an artist with massive profitability potential. The way labels see it, an artist, particularly a female pop singer, is a dime a dozen in the industry. They can always "make" a pop star (with the right producers). And there are plenty of young performers hungry enough to sign a contract with them. It's kind of like they figure that they will "pay their dues" for a few years and then call the shots when they become big "enough."
