AddMeOnMYSPACE 2,021
This whole situation is nonsense and fishy. If Kesha wants out, let her out! Why keep someone who is damaging your company. Hope Kesha is taking this well and hopefully something will work out. As for the Dr. Luke thing, sorry but I'm not taking sides until I see more proof. I don't take sides just because someone pointed fingers. Although, Kesha looms like she's not playing.

That is the whole issue here and that's the reason why rapists take advantage of victim blaming. Gaga has been very open about this (especially in the last few months), so it would only be right for her to publicly support a fellow survivor, after preaching about it for so long. I really hope she does. I agree that you can't blame the victim BUT you also can't accuse Dr. Luke in this story. It's unfair! Besides, Kesha is offered to work with other producers so I don't see a future problem for her.
Scotty 87
Not just Gaga, every other pop star that labels them self a 'feminist' should tweet out about it! Ahem I am looking at you Beyonce and Taylor Swift...

That doesn't sound like justice especially because we don't know 99% that Kesha is being honest. The trial today wasn't about proving him guilty for rape. That trial is for any other time and whatever evidence she has for that will be used then. This case is about releasing her from a chokehold contract that caused her emotional and physical damage. People shouldn't have to work for somebody that causes them that kind of harm...

She's not asking for him to go to jail as far as a know, she's asking to be free from contract, free from working with him. Imagine if Gaga was forced to make 6 more albums with the producer who raped her. FreePalestine

However, Kesha isn't asking for Dr. Luke to be punished, all she is asking for is to be able to break out of their contract. Two very different things! Sony agreed on letting her work with someone else from their label, but Sony Music is known for destroying artists (see Mariah Carey, Michael Jackson, and George Michael). Kesha simply doesn't want to work with people who support her (accused) rapist and them getting in the way of her music. She is an artist after all. Especially the latter. but from what I've heard, I think they should let her go especially because it sounds like he conned her into the contract. Of course the documents aren't public yet but she had a severe eating disorder from how he treated her and thus she went to rehab for all of that. Doctors there can vouch for that part, and Kesha herself has proof of personal verbal abuse messages dr luke sent to her.

Since Gaga didn't accuse anyone in particular, we have no choice but to take her word for it because the other can't defend themselves.

Yeah, that's why I back her getting out of the contract even tho I don't necessarily believe the rape accusation.
